HSC is a grant- and donation-funded effort to make sure the technology in a nonprofit's
office works for them and not against them. This financial support will go directly to developing
tools and resources, sponsoring hands-on workshops, and providing training for service providers.
We have made it easy to contribute to this effort:

The Peninsula Community Foundation has provided funding to develop tools and resources that will let
nonprofits audit the security of their desktop machines. You can expect to see those tools available
on this website later this year. Peninsula Community Foundation is also funding projects to match 40
organizations in San Mateo and Santa Clara county with consultant and volunteer techies to audit the
nonprofits' desktops.
The San Francisco Foundation has provided funding for workshops on HSC guidelines
and small planning and implementation projects.
