TechSoup Stock Team

 Rebecca Masisak, Co-CEO
Rebecca Masisak

Rebecca joined CompuMentor in 2001 to launch the TechSoup Stock product donation service and has thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of distributing more than 1.5 million products to date. Rebecca brought to CompuMentor extensive general management experience and an appreciation for the needs of nonprofit organizations, particularly around technology. After being the founder and the Senior Vice President for an Internet Service Provider that grew from scratch to serve over 350,000 customers in 1.5 years as well as a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand for 9 years, Rebecca hoped to find a still more challenging role when she answered CompuMentor's Craigslist ad for her current position - and she has not been disappointed!

Rebecca had formerly been the Treasurer and board member of one of the oldest arts education nonprofits in the Bay Area, The Performing Arts Workshop. Experience in under-resourced for-profit startups and small businesses has come in surprisingly handy in understanding the challenges of managing in the nonprofit world. Rebecca welcomes opportunities to learn about the important work of the nonprofits served through TechSoup Stock, and occasionally finds time to speak and share views on the topics of social enterprise and customer relationship management. One day, she even hopes to be able to say in this bio that she has published and lectured on subjects related to social enterprise and on her insights into how to ensure that 'social' is a part of all enterprises whether for-profit or not. Any spare time left is spent skiing, studying languages and traveling while preparing for a future life in Europe, and enjoying live music.

Jovan Watkins, Associate Customer Service Representative

He later found work with Slimfast thinking "YES, This is my way out!" Only to be laid off months later, because "he didn't fit the mold." After a brief bout of depression, and 3 Mickey D burgers later. Jovan, found himself fat, depressed and umemployed, so he had to do something. "Yes...I had to do something." And, then there was a glorious light at the end of the tunnel. TECHSOUP! As a Customer Service Representative for the TechSoup Stock program things are looking up fo Jovan. He assists customers in placing orders, handling loads of faxes to qualify organizations and many other duties. Yes, things are coming together for Mr. Watkins.
