Working with partners around the globe, we're actively expanding these resources outside the US. New initiatives at TechSoup include a program (funded by the Gates Foundation) to help public libraries better maintain their public access computers and an expanded Green IT program
that aims to build the market for refurbished computers and other environmentally appropriate solutions. Founded in 1987 (as CompuMentor), we currently have more than 150 staff members and an annual budget of about $18 million.
What You'll Do
The Partner Management Specialist will work with the existing partner management team to oversee, implement, and monitor business process that better support the Network of Partner NGOs participating in the global technology donations programs. Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Track business issues with partners, including management of monthly business calls
- Create professional communications with partners via email,
portal site, and other modes.
- Establish trusted relationship with partners, showing
understanding of cultural differences
- Advocate internally for partner needs, working with
Operations, Technical and Business teams to provide support
- Audit relationships (periodically) including transaction
volumes, case studies and other performance goals
- Leverage expertise of other TechSoup programs to provide
additional value-add services to partners and their constituents
Required Skills and Experience
- Skilled at defining and implementing complex, multi-partner processes
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate complex
information with a global audience in a culturally sensitive manner, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated excellence in business communication
- Experience with alliance management and partner lifecycles
- Knowledge of NGO sector in multiple countries preferred
- Interest in, or comfort with, social networking tools as
communications vehicle
- Product marketing expertise a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Willingness to occasionally work non-standard business hours to accommodate time-zone variances
